Divine Elements of Feminine and Masculine Breitenbush Hot Springs October 2nd-4th
Indigenous wisdom and science systems across the globe, from the Vedantas of the Indian subcontinent to the Medicine Wheels of the American continents, from The Tarot to both Eastern and Western Astrology, root their teachings in the cornerstones of the five elements. In varying orders and with some slight variations, we see the repeated elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space. The Archetypal Energies of Feminine and Masculine–both present in all beings and elements–can be combined with the Elements to offer us pathways to experiencing life, to deepening our connection to Self and the natural world, and perhaps most directly, practical lenses through which we can orient to personal practices and decision-making.
Elemental themes are repeated culturally in many unexpected and poetic places–Winnie the Pooh for example, could be viewed as a playful teaching on the qualities of the elements; set in the natural world, Christopher Robin explores living with companions Eeyore (Earth), Tigger (Fire), Owl (Air), and Pooh (who goes with the flow, well, Water, of course).
Archetypes of Feminine and Masculine are easier to spot, perhaps, and the particular attention held by this offering is that all of us have access to both! A gentle reminder that gender and sex are not boxes but experiential and changeable qualities—identity is ours to claim and explore!
Your hosts, Emily Light and Christopher Hirsh, share a personal dedication to elemental and archetypal practices and delight in offering these tools and approaches to others. Come along for a Full Moon Weekend (Moon in Aries, the initial Fire sign in the Western Zodiac) as they guide you through a retreat designed to deepen your experiential connection to these tools for life and living as you immerse yourself in the luxurious elemental experiences available at Breitenbush Hot Springs!
