Changing Course

Our bodies are constantly changing direction as we move through everyday life. We turn to reach for something, shift our weight to step around an obstacle, or adjust when something doesn’t go quite as expected. The ability to change course asks for coordination, awareness, and responsiveness as much as strength or balance.

We’ll explore shifting, rotating, turning, and taking familiar movements along less familiar pathways through Low Lunge, Half Splits, Low Lunge Twist, Three-Legged Down Dog, Goddess, Tandem Stance, and supported inversion options. Moving in different directions gives us opportunities to notice how the body adapts and reorganizes in real time.

A playful, dynamic practice for mobility, coordination, balance, and adaptable movement. A good choice when you want to explore new pathways and a fresh experience!.

Props: 1 Pillow or Blanket; Wall/Door/Stable piece of furniture for balance support and inversion
