My Story
A few days after my 30th birthday in 2010, I traveled to southern India to live at an ashram, study philosophy, and deepen my meditation practice. I had already completed my first yoga teacher training and had been teaching part-time for several years, but I was struggling with meditation and hungry for a fuller understanding of yoga.
After several months of studying yoga therapy under Swami Tureyananda, I knew I wanted to pursue certification in this field. When I returned to the U.S., I relocated to Portland, OR, began teaching full-time, and enrolled in a two-year Yoga Therapy program with Sarahjoy Marsh. I graduated in 2015, earning my ERYT-500 through Yoga Alliance and my C-IAYT credential through the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Today, I specialize in pelvic health, nervous system support, and meditation. I participate in ongoing continuing education with two professional groups for pelvic health practitioners: The Pelvic Collective (based in Portland, OR) and Pelvic Health Professionals (an international group). I am also a student of the Dzogchen tradition of Bön Buddhism and am on track to be certified as a 3 Doors Presenter of these teachings in October 2025.
